Practical tips for de-escalation:
- Listen: Often the counterpart has to off-load his emotions
- Show understanding: Anyone who carries grudges and fear with them can get loud
- Explain: Reasons and necessity of a measure are not always comprehensible for the counterpart
- Talk: to the counterpart on the aggressive behavior
- Protect yourself: pull the limits and get support
