Dangerous Goods
A distinction is made between on- and off-site transport of dangerous goods. The transport of dangerous goods on public ground is subject to the ADR, SDR, GGBV legislation.
On-Site Transportation
Transport of hazardous substances within the company/building and not over public ground. Always transport hazardous materials packed in a break-proof manner. Use a carry basket. Hazardous substances must never be transported in elevators together with persons.

Off-Site Transportation
The transportation of dangerous goods on public ground is subject to ADR, SDR and GGBV legislation. These transports may only be made by specialized external transport companies. Contact via University of Bern, Risk Management.
